To shine a light to the world on the global epidemic of slavery, and in doing so rescue children from slavery and dismantle the criminal networks holding them captive. We place rescued children in safe havens with their families or in rehabilitation programs. To trafficking victims, we will free you from captivity and provide you the care you need to heal. To government partners, we will always work openly with you to eradicate slavery together. To donors, we commit to act responsibly in the way we leverage your resources and provide you with actionable results you can share with your stakeholders. We will work efficiently and effectively to plan successful campaigns, events and missions to drive awareness and save victims. To traffickers, we will find you and bring you to justice!

While the Women@VMware POD works towards creating an inclusive culture and empowering women employees internally, we also feel the need to help the world outside. The Women@VMware Women's Empowerment Fund supports a curated set of organizations working towards gender equality and advancement of women worldwide. Your donations to this fund will help support all women in getting access to quality education, health care and sustainable livelihood opportunities and training. This fund is being launched to commemorate Women's History Month in March and seeks to empower more women, so they can lead healthy, successful and dignified lives.

International Women's Day (IWD), observed annually on March 8, is a worldwide celebration of women’s achievements. It offers an opportunity to reflect on progress made, to call for change, and to honor acts of courage and determination by women who have helped in moving the needle toward gender parity within their countries and communities. This year’s theme is #ChooseToChallenge, which highlights the importance of challenging biases and misconceptions in the interest of creating a more inclusive world. We encourage you to give to this campaign, or to search on Bright Funds for a nonprofit that is helping to create a more just, equitable world.

She’s the First fights for a world where every girl chooses her own future. An estimated 20 million girls may not return to school post-pandemic. That’s progress we can’t afford to lose. Help She’s the First support girls’ safety now and a successful return to school later—the clock is ticking.

International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The Morningstar's Women's Initiative UK has chosen to mark this day in 2021 by fundraising for female-focused charities. Thank you for your contribution!

The Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s, led by The Reverend Martin Luther King Jr., was a pivotal time in our nation’s history and has had far-reaching repercussions. Modern movements for racial justice and equality, like the Black Lives Matter movement, are extensions of the work that he started. The protests against systemic racism in 2020 and the insurrection at the beginning of 2021 have proven that the fight for civil rights is far from complete. MLK Day, celebrated nationally on January 18, is a day of service that celebrates the Civil Rights leader’s mission, life, and legacy. The holiday, often referred to as “a day on, not a day off,” is dedicated to volunteerism, encouraging people everywhere to reflect and take action in their communities. The call to action on this day is intended to empower individuals, strengthen communities, bridge barriers, create solutions for some of our most pressing social problems, and move us closer to Dr. King’s vision of a “Beloved Community.” Dr. King led the charge to demand the most basic of human rights -- civil rights -- and there are plenty of opportunities to contribute. This Fund is comprised of nonprofit organizations that are fighting for social justice in the U.S. and around the world. We encourage you to give to this campaign, or to search on Bright Funds for a nonprofit that is doing the work to fight racism and intolerance in order to create a more just, equitable world.

2020 has been a long and challenging year. It has brought a lot of changes to the world and it has been particularly hard on certain communities. On September 27, Azerbaijan, Turkey and ISIS-linked terrorists launched a full-scale war on the peaceful Armenian population of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), deliberately targeting civilians. Over 75,000 people have been forced to flee their homes, including 24,000 children, whose right to education, and life, are under threat. So, since it's almost Halloween season, why not contribute to NPOs that are contributing to Japanese society with donations? Even if you have never volunteered or donated to a cause before, we hope you will take this opportunity to help them. In general, it is said that when you contribute to others, your own happiness tends to increase. There are people all over the world, including in Japan where we live, who are in need of volunteers and support. In these difficult times, we need support in embodying our Conscious Culture (self-awareness, understanding of others, and creating the best possible experience through constant focus and intentional action on the impact we have on others (teams, customers and the larger community). Making America great again

Asians@VMware is a US-based POD with a mission to increase broader Asian representation and inclusion in tech, creating an environment where all Asians can thrive. To achieve this goal our group has three primary areas of focus in 2020 and aim to: 1. Increase the representation of Asian women in tech. While Asians represent 25% of all tech workers, women only make up 4% of those. 2. Increase the representation of Asian demographics outside of Indian and Chinese. 3. Address anti-Asian sentiment arising in our communities around COVID-19. In this fund, we’ve curated a list of nonprofits that are aligned with these goals. Donations to this fund will be evenly distributed to the nonprofits listed here.

On June 15, 2020, the US Supreme Court ruled that it is illegal for employers to discriminate against employees based on their sexual orientation and gender. This recent victory highlights how we are still in the throes of fighting for who we are and who we love. The LGBTQIA+ Community Support and Legal Action Fund strives to support people affected by discrimination and advocates defending human rights. With the added strains of the pandemic and civil unrest throughout our country, it is crucial that we support these resources and advocacy groups to pave the way towards a brighter and more just future.

Donations to this fund will support organizations working on all aspects of social justice and equality for the Latino community including, but not limited to, domestic violence, Hispanic culture, education and health.

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, our Latino POD wants to benefit the broader Latino community during this very challenging time. Our livelihoods depend on essential workers during this pandemic. Latinos are three times as likely to contract COVID-19 as our Latino community is often in the frontlines. Our fund supports Latino essential workers impacted by COVID-19 and four other important social justice causes, including: 1. Latino Community Foundation, 'Love Not Fear Fund' to help Latino essential workers impacted by COVID-19. 2. AltaMed Foundation, 'La Linterna’ program provides primary care and trauma-focused mental health resources to kids separated from their families at the border. The team is seeking to double the number of kids they serve. 3. Latinas in Tech supports Latinas internationally to thrive, innovate and lead in tech as well as those pursuing a career in tech. 4. Hispanic Scholarship Fund gives scholarships to Latino college student and is also the nation’s largest non-profit organization supporting Latinos pursuing higher education. HSF helped at least two of our VMware employees pay for college. 5. United Latinos is a community organizing network committed to building power for the poor and marginalized through conversations about equity issues and exploration of the issues that can benefit those historically marginalized. We at VMware have an awesome community of change makers. Let’s come together as a VMware family to make change and support the Latino community through this very difficult time. Refugees who flee growing violence, terror and corruption in Iran and Middle East are facing enormous risks everyday while focused on survival, dream of a future life with liberty, justice and opportunity to rebuild their lives. There is a growing need for programs that understands their difficult circumstances, empowers them with critical humanitarian needs, and uplifting mindset.

Duo and Cisco remain committed to building a more just and equitable society. This Global Day of Impact Fund supports organizations focused on this work.

As a part of the July 22, 2020 Equity Action Plan update: "We have pre-qualified 26 racial justice and equity non-profit 501(c)3 organizations for our employee matching gift program". Here are all 26 of those pre-qualified organizations. I encourage you to research these organizations further to find which ones inspire you. You can click on a specific nonprofit, below, to donate directly to that organization. Alternatively, donating to this fund will help support all organizations at the same time. There is small link on the "Donate" Homepage that will lead to the WSI EAP Campaign, which also has these organizations listed. I had trouble locating this, so I hope this Fund will increase visibility and engagement.

O.U.R. paves the way for permanent eradication of Child Sex Trafficking through coordinated rescue and recovery planning. In the past six years of existence, O.U.R. has rescued 3,800 victims and assisted in the arrests of more than 2,100 traffickers around the world.

Donations to this fund will support organizations working on all aspects of social justice and equality for the Black community including, but not limited to, advocacy, education and mental and emotional support.

In the spirit of taking action, Bank team members have come together to find a fun and healthy way to support the Black Lives Matter movement. Join us in a virtual 5K run, walk, or bike Saturday, July 18 or Sunday, July 19. What is a virtual 5k? Don’t worry, we’re not asking you to run on GoToMeeting. Participants who sign up for a virtual race register online and simply choose their own starting line, whether it's a treadmill or a neighborhood street, run the race distance – 5k or 3.1 miles, and upload their finishing time. To register, simply make a donation of $25 or more to the 5k Run for Change fund on Bright Funds. Your donation or “registration fee” will be matched and distributed to local organizations and charitable initiatives aimed to support Black lives and communities. You can choose to run, walk, or bike on Saturday, July 18 or Sunday, July 19 and track your metrics on your favorite app. Make sure to track your time and send your results to tadessem@fhlbsf.com to compare your results with other team members participating in the 5k! The goal of this event is to get people thinking, get people talking, and get people moving!
