COVID-19 India Relief fund
As COVID-19 pandemic crosses 1.2M+ cases across the world and several countries are enduring a lockdown, the marginalized communities across the world have been hit the hardest. In India, millions of daily wage laborers can no longer work as the country enters the second week of the lockdown. Several non-profit organizations working at a grassroots level are reporting a shortage of food and sanitary products for disadvantaged communities. Impacted groups: Migrant laborers and children who have moved from rural areas to cities for work Rural communities, transgenders, orphans and the homeless. Children from low-income families that cannot receive daily free mid-day meals offered in government schools but schools are shut down Please help Asha for Education support communities in desperate need of basic essentials in India during the current lockdown period brought on by COVID-19. A little will go a long way: 40$ - will help provide dry ration and other essentials for a family of four for 1 month Project updates: 1/ Our volunteers in Varanasi are distributing survival essentials to hundreds of families under lockdown! They are also ensuring the government support initiatives reach the most rural communities. 2/ 250+ families belonging to the Musahar, Dalit and other disadvantaged communities in Nagepur, Uttar Pradesh were provided with essential supplies for one month. 3/ 300+ underprivileged communities in Bhilai, Chattisgarh were provided with dry ration and several people who were on the road walking to their villages were provided with meals. 4/ 100+ families mostly comprising of daily wage laborers and transgendered communities in Tirlokpuri, Delhi, who did not have ration cards, were provided with dry ration for 1 month. 5/ 500+ families of migrant laborers in Kanpur were provided with dry ration for a month. 6/ Our project partner Nishtha in Baruipur, West Bengal is working with local villages and helping them with food supplies and hygiene products (soap, sanitary pads).

Providing Hope in Cincinnati During Uncertain Times Fund
Founded by James N. Gamble of Procter & Gamble in 1924, City Gospel Mission helps the homeless and hurting break the cycle of poverty and despair…one life at a time. They engage, equip and empower those in need with the spiritual, emotional, mental and physical skills and resources to achieve long-term life transformation and self-sufficiency. They don’t know how COVID-19 will impact the community in the coming weeks, but as public places close where the homeless hang out during the day, like libraries, parks and public facilities, they anticipate more people needing meals and services. City Gospel Mission will not close their doors and they will continue to serve some of the most vulnerable in our city and be there for anyone who needs them. Necessary safety precautions are causing an unplanned strain on their budget and resources, and they urgently need our help to fill the gap, and the people they serve will need our help right now and in the coming months more than ever. We have created this fund with the hope of raising at least $10,000 using our own donations and VMware match. This fund can also be shared externally so that anyone can contribute, but only VMware employee donations will be matched. You can also help by registering your Kroger Plus Card. Each time you use your Plus Card when purchasing groceries, Kroger makes a donation to City Gospel Mission to help feed the hungry in our community. All you have to do is register your card at www.kroger.com/communityrewards. You can find more information about City Gospel Mission at https://www.citygospelmission.org/ Please join us in supporting City Gospel Mission to help them achieve their purpose of breaking the cycle of poverty and despair…one life at a time.
