Empowering women & girls Fund
Despite monumental leaps in gender equality in the past two decades, women and girls are still disproportionately affected by extreme poverty, while still battling institutionalized and societal sexism, violence, and sexual abuse. When you donate to effective women’s charities, you’re making the world a safer, healthier, and fairer place. Here is a hand-picked list of highly-rated[1] organizations working in women's health, education, and development. These organizations have grassroots ties and support various causes to empower women and girls in the community. This is by no measure a complete list of all the organizations working for causes affecting women, but merely a starting point, and can you find more resources here[2], [3], [4] and [5]. Let's fight for what's fair, no matter where women are. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [1] CharityNavigator ratings: all except kiva are rated 4 stars on charity navigator, while kiva is at 3 stars: Asha for Education: https://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=7630 CAMFED (Campaign for Female Education): https://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=11479 Kiva: https://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=12978 Fistula Foundation: https://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=8855 [2] https://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=content.view&cpid=2133#group-195 [3] https://www.thebalancesmb.com/saving-the-world-with-charities-for-women-and-girls-4158742 [4] https://www.thelifeyoucansave.org/causes-to-support/women-charities/ [5] https://www.mentalfloss.com/article/534393/organizations-helping-women-around-world

Niloy's Attempt at Triple Crown of 200 - For Life, Equality and Safety Fund
It's been a tough year so far. And it has also brought us together even more. In my pursuit to test my limits, I'll be attempting three 200 miles footraces across the country in August, September and October. While it's hard to predict outcomes for such races, know it that i'll give my best and a little more. I am asking you to support me in this journey by contributing to three causes I deeply care about: 1. Fight against discrimination 2. Mental Heath and the right to live and 3. A safe growing environment. While tackling the deepest of fears and toughest of challenges we all need to dig deep into our reserves and search for a higher purpose. That's my WHY. http://www.grandslam200.com/ Update 7/28: My first race in the triple crown series, Bigfoot 200 has been cancelled due to the current pandemic situation. In spirit of this race I will run a Bigfoot Virtual race locally. This will a series of 4 runs back to back covering a total of 208 miles: Aug 7: Miwok 100Km, 5AM Friday Aug 8: Bay Ridge 100Km, 5 AM Saturday Aug 9: Quicksilver 100Km (start time may vary based on finish time of Bay Ridge), sometime between 5-11 AM Sunday Aug 10: Mount Diablo out and back from old Finley 22 miles, Monday AM https://www.gaiagps.com/map/?loc=10.6/-122.6091/37.9069&popupLoc=-122.61322/37.89335&pubLink=kOqHwGR51JyjBkIAETCnjmLw&trackId=50e86379-23ad-43b6-9f2a-64db58b93b04 https://www.gaiagps.com/map/?loc=10.3/-122.1371/37.7952&pubLink=437TJEz7DOlYt6Ny0Vn9xEbF&popupLoc=-122.08636/37.72695&trackId=ee6f39a6-22ee-4e7b-91cf-2feaf94de192 https://www.gaiagps.com/map/?loc=12.2/-121.9021/37.1936&popupLoc=-121.89096/37.17435&pubLink=wmka2bfxw5sy3vJ7bYQBBJsm&trackId=1fa604f764fdbc2de77b5ffcdc4fb16b https://www.gaiagps.com/map/?loc=11.8/-121.8954/37.8473&popupLoc=-121.87352/37.83069&pubLink=pOtsx3YNrYfYBEo3CNSHtgvp&trackId=26aa44d0-ed66-4db9-8b87-0ca5b137074f
