SDP’s main mission is donating certified Great Dane service dogs to people with balance and mobility issues. We give preference to military veterans, first responders, and their families. We serve our local community. SDP is a known destination for all ages — from teens doing community service, to seniors in search of a meaningful task and some company, to military vets (many with PTSD) who enjoy feeling useful and connected while doing farm chores. Our Road Show project of puppies and trainers visiting senior centers and providing much-needed smiles is a total win-win. Our third mission is sustaining a worldwide online community of people who follow life at SDP via seven cameras at explore.org. We interact with this community daily.
