Due to COVID our drive this year will be Virtual. FGT has stood in the Gap between the students and need for over 25 years. Lets help these kids start the year off right by providing the backpack and supplies that they need to be a success. Donations made on the Bright Funds Site will be automatically matched. If you chose to make your donation on this site please remember to complete a matching form through Bright Funds. 1 in 3 school children are part of families where school supplies and backpacks are not guaranteed to them at the start of the school year. This is our opportunity to give to our friends, family and neighbors in our community that are struggling financially and might go without a Holiday for their family. This year's drive will be 100% virtual. This drive begins now and will close on December 3rd. This will allow FGT time to purchase gifts to fulfill the wishes of so many in need. As we end another fantastic quarter, we start Q2 with excitement for the holiday season, time with family and friends, and the opportunity to give back to those in need. Individually and collectively, we can all participate in making a huge impact in the communities and organizations we care about this holiday season. To make this real in our countdown to shutdown, we are kicking off Q2 with a giving campaign called “Care & Share” and we’d love you to share how you care! Donating to this CSM Care & Share Bright Fund is one way you can participate in the Care & Share Campaign. You can also donate your time or money to other non-profits. We want to encourage you to give back to your community in a way that is right to you.

Cisco B1 UCS Collective efforts to support Family Giving Tree's Annual Back Pack Drive 2022 - our goal is $1,500.00 which averages to about 40 back packs for children in need in the Bay Area. 1 in 3 Bay Area families struggle to meet all of their financial needs. This sad reality means school supplies and backpacks are not always a guarantee every year for their student children. To help, Family Giving Tree’s Back-to-School Drive works to create a more equitable learning space for students when they begin a new school year. Every student deserves to feel hopeful and well-prepared in school and your support is vital to equip 26,000 students this summer.

Giving back is a core value of Cisco’s culture and as part of the CSM + Meraki Marketing | 2022 Season of Giving Campaign it’s time for us all to take a pause and think about how we want to contribute to causes that are close to our heart. And there are many ways for us to give whether it’s time or though monetary means. Some may feel stretched thin and are unable to volunteer time so we encourage you to consider tapping into Cisco Bright Funds donation program. We’ve put together this team Bright Funds site to make donating a little easier. If this fund isn’t resonating then we encourage you to find a non-profit that supports what matters most to you. As Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “Since you get more joy out of giving joy to others, you should put a good deal of thought into the happiness that you are able to give.” Lets collectively contribute in some way this season and sprinkle a little more happiness to the world. More than ever this year the need is even greater with the impact of Corona Virus but the Goal is the same to provide Holiday Cheer to 40K wished for gifts. Family Giving Tree is a charitable organization committed to uplifting children and individuals facing financial hardships throughout the Bay Area. Since 1990, Family Giving Tree has delivered over 2 million items including backpacks filled with school supplies and wished-for holiday gifts. This year’s Holiday Wish Drive will be more important than ever. With inflation at a 40+ year high, local families are struggling with daily living and many are unable to find the funding for holiday gifts for their children. For the past 4 years Cisco UCS Group has supported Family Giving Tree's Holiday Wish Drive. Year over year we have exceeded our goal of 2K. This is a time that we can help Children and Seniors by fulfilling a wish that they have for the Holiday season. Family Giving Tree helps families who live in this deep shadow of success clear financial hurdles through our Back-to-School and Holiday Wish Drives. By partnering with hundreds of agencies, FGT aims to support students every school year and children, adults, and seniors during the Holiday Season. By donating through Bright Funds your Donation will be automatically matched by Cisco.

This year, Customer and Partner Services is coming together globally to give back to our people, communities and planet through our CARE Initiative, CPS for Action and Relief Everywhere (CARE). This quarter, everyone will be asked to donate in a race to have the highest participation rate among AMER, EMEAR and APJC. Locate your regional CARE fund with BrightFunds nonprofits to have your contribution matched by Cisco, by December 21st. The most "CARE-ing" region will be announced in the next calendar year!
