We are a group of friends who decided we needed to conquer a mountain - Ben Nevis in Scotland on July 1st 2017. We each have our individual reasons for hiking Ben Nevis and what conquering this peak means to us. But, the common thread is that we have all been impacted by cancer - either with the disease ourselves or a loved one close to us. We'd like to raise funds to support cancer research as this disease is what needs to be conquered! Since we come from all over, we will split the funds with NL Cancer Society, American Cancer Society & Canadian Cancer society. Every donation is welcome towards conquering the mountain of cancer!! I will be running the Big Sur marathon on April 26, 2020 to raise money for the American Cancer Society. The American Cancer Society is the nationwide voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem through research, education, advocacy, and service.

Cancer has touched all of us in some way - we all know a family member or friend who has been affected by this deadly disease. Having lost a grandparent, a family friend, and a close friend's mom to cancer, I want to help contribute to researchers and caregivers who selflessly help others. The following organizations are committed to increasing breast cancer awareness through research initiatives and education programs surrounding prevention and early-detection, while advocating for patient access to high-quality treatment options. Organizations included in this Fund also promote awareness surrounding metastatic breast cancer--the most advanced stage of breast cancer--and provide supportive services for those affected by breast cancer. Your donation to this Fund will help these organizations support breast cancer patients and survivors as the fight to find a cure continues.
