Nora's Gift Foundation

Nora's Home (Nora's Gift Foundation) was started by Drs. Osama and Lillian Gaber when their seven year old daughter, Nora, lost her life in a car accident. Nora's organs saved several lives and inspired the creation of Nora's Home for transplant patients and their families. Dr. Gaber was the transplant surgeon for my kidney recipient.

I spent my two weeks of recovery at Nora's Home and am deeply grateful for the support from the staff and all the other residents.

Bee Abled

Bee Abled is a Houston nonprofit that embraces athletes with disabilities (AWD), as well family members, friends, caregivers, and volunteers to achieve both mental and physical health through participation in sports and social interactions. My kidney recipient and his wife are closely involved in Bee Abled and I even participated in a walk/bike event while I was recovering in Houston.
