Kerala Flood Relief Fund

About

This monsoon, rains lashed the southern state of Kerala in India. Three days of torrential and relentless rains have caused unprecendented damage killing 186 people and destroying over 10,000 homes. Also called "God's own country", the state of Kerala is now facing the worst floods since 1972, bringing 10 of its 14 districts under water. Over 60,000 people are lodged in various relief camps across the 14 districts.

Sewa has been providing unprecedented humanitarian aid for flood relief in Kerala.

Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation of USA

Ekal Vidyalaya runs more than 300 schools in the two tribal districts of Idukki and Wayanad, areas which have are currently completely submersed in water. As water levels start receding, funds would be needed to re-build these schools.

International Association For Human Values

IAHV in partnership with Art of Living Foundation is responding to Kerala's flood situation. Hundreds of volunteers were deployed in relief work across several districts of Kerala. Their volunteers have reached out to more than 50,000 people, collected and distributed more than 20 truckloads of relief material including water, food, clothes, temporary shelters and other basic necessities.
