A green, leafy oasis of healthy eating (and an alternative among the liquor stores of south Berkeley) Spiral Gardens gives an abundance of vegetables, flowers, and fruits to locals in need. Offering relief from hunger and wisdom from nature, Spiral Garden provides at-cost organic produce, free workshops on natural herbal medicines, and hands-on lessons in growing your own healthy food.

Urban Tilth

Urban Tilth operates seven school and urban community farms to teach and employ locals to grow, distribute, and cook thousands of pounds of healthy fresh produce each year. Anchored in one of the most diverse and disadvantaged Bay Area communities, Richmond, CA, they work to holistically create a more equitable and just food system and a healthier, more self-sufficient city.

Planting Justice

Planting Justice makes fresh, healthy food available to everyone, especially those deserving of a fresh start ! Planting Justice welcomes Oakland returning residents and locals into gardens of abundant urban fruits and vegetables. Locals enjoy growing their own delicious, nutritious organic produce, and learning new skills for health, life, and career.
