The “Digitial Divide”, which pre-existed the pandemic, has now become a problem that cannot be ignored. I worked in-person at after school learning centers and saw how desperate parents were driving up to 6 hours round trip to get their kids help. Students and teachers in non-broadband areas have to drive long distances before they can even begin studying, and there are other students trying to do virtual learning all school-year off of their cell-phone due to lacking a computer.
None of those students need be disadvantaged in learning anymore if we all pitch in to funds like THIS one. Plus, Root to STEM is able to access the technologies for the students way cheaper than a regular company could!
