The Boston Foundation

The Boston Foundation has established the COVID-19 Response Fund working in partnership with donors, nonprofits, philanthropies and other agencies to take on COVID-19. They plan to rapidly deploy flexible resources to organizations in Greater Boston that are working with communities that are disproportionately affected by the coronavirus outbreak.

The Greater Boston Food Bank

The Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB) continues to work alongside their 500+ partner hunger-relief agencies, including food pantries, community meal programs and other food assistance providers throughout the nine counties and 190 towns and cities across Eastern Massachusetts. GBFB is committed to assuring that they continue to distribute food to their partner agencies and through their direct service programs, especially those that impact individuals at high risk. They are fully committed to keeping their Eastern Massachusetts community safe and making sure they receive the nutritious food they need to thrive.

The Marion Institute, Inc. Fiscal Sponsor of The Leadership Brainery

The Leadership Brainery is committed to supporting the well-being of diverse and first-generation college-enrolled student leaders. Several schools in Greater Boston have chosen to suspend on-campus classes and activities, and have given students a short window to make alternative living arrangements. They understand that this unforeseen circumstance presents a hardship for many diverse and first-generation students. Therefore, they are providing College Student Emergency Relief Mini Grants to support diverse and first-generation college students in the Greater Boston area experiencing homelessness and financial hardships during this time. College-enrolled undergraduate students displaced by COVID-19 who meet their criteria and express most need will receive a one-time $100 mini grant.

Greg Hill Foundation

The Greg Hill Foundation has teamed up with Samuel Adams to support those from the Massachusetts restaurant industry who have been impacted by the Covid-19 closures. Together, and with the insights of notable Boston-area chefs, they will be raising awareness and funds to provide grants to full-time restaurant workers in Massachusetts who are dependent on wages plus tips to cover basic living expenses and provide for their families. Their goal is to provide $1,000 grants to as many qualifying grantees as possible.
